Alquina uses the biological superpowers of Microalgae by using them as molecular plants.

Alquina uses algal biofilms instead of inefficient not self-sustaining liquid cultures.

N2, H2O and CO2 are converted into carbo hydrates (CHx) and nitrogen hydrates (NHx) in algal biofilms. The CHx/NHx containing water is directed into a electrolysis cell where H2 is split off. The residues (Cx/Nx/CHx/NHx) in deoxygenized water and depending on the usage the H2 is directed into a fermenter, where CH4 is formed, which can be burned. The water and the CO2 gets back into the algae reactor.

Hydrogen is conventionally generated out of destilled water, which has to be
produced before. Our technology theoretically improves the power-to-gas effectiveness by up to 30 %!
